Dr. Hannah Eagleson is the Academic Program Manager at Octet Collaborative in 2026/2027. She holds a PhD in early modern literature from the University of Delaware and an MA in liberal arts from St. John’s College (Annapolis, MD). Dr. Eagleson wrote her dissertation on John Donne and George Herbert, two poets who regularly incorporate both theology and the emerging scientific metaphors of their day into their reflections on the self, the world, and the divine. In addition to literary criticism and early modern theology, Dr. Eagleson draws on the history of science and on science and technology studies when inviting audiences into early modern literature. Dr. Eagleson now draws on her academic training as an institutional leader developing the structures that scholars and professionals need to connect their values and their work for the common good. One of the key questions her work addresses is “How can people of faith listen and work for the common good in a pluralist society?” Dr. Eagleson holds several institutional roles supporting scholars and professionals to ask that question in the context of the Christian tradition, including Academic Manager at Octet Collaborative; Director of Graduate Student and Faculty Development at Chesterton House, an affiliated chaplaincy at Cornell; and Director of Partnerships and Innovation at American Scientific Affiliation. At the Octet Collaborative she will academic manage the March Colloquium, help develop innovative ideas for faculty formation, and collaborate to develop AI ethics conversations.
